A note on signatures « Thread Started on Jun 24, 2009, 5:38pm »
Signatures should not be so large that people have to scroll a long ways up and down from your post to the quick reply nor should they be so wide they stretch the board. Taller than 400 pixels is probably too big, and wider than 425 pixels is likely to stretch the board.
We understand this is an account-per-member site, and you all would like people to visualize your characters as you do, but doing so would require a huge, multiple-part signature. So, to avoid this, here are a few suggestions:
Place in your signature the basic stats of your characters. Make them links to your individual signatures. Create bars that focus on some part of your character and make it clickable to a full version of the signature. Create small graphics that are linked to a full signature. Alternate! Have the signature for your most used character up one month and just the stats with links for the other characters and switch them around from time to time. Create a collage. While oftentimes these look tacky, I've seen a few out there that look good. This way you can show off each character, perhaps beneath their picture(s) in the collage place the name. This isn't the most helpful hint out there at the moment, but I will edit it when I find the site. There is an image host out there that will take your images and rotate them as you tell it to, so it's a possibility.
Use discretion when creating your signature. It shouldn't show off too much or be extremely explicit. If an admin deems it distasteful or inappropriate, she will remove it, PM you the link, and tell you exactly what needs to be covered up or changed for it to be acceptable.
Please avoid anime in your signatures merely to keep things uniform. How realistic does it look to have person, person, person, anime, person, person? Kind of makes it stand out. If you need help coming up with ideas for play-bys, ask! We may make a list of suggestions later, but for now, just ask if you need help. Play-bys are not required, and you may choose to do things like just basic character stats or signature quotes or whatever else you'd like.
If you need help making a signature or a signature quote, there will surely be those who offer to make signatures here, so take a look at the board within the Members' Lounge.
Welcome to Werewolves Unite! Created in January 2006 by admins Nighty and Glory, this site took off to a good start, but as with all sites, real life proved a constant challenge. However, as we celebrate our grand reopening, we hope to re-ignite the creative flame the original WU held and provide a friendly, fun environment for all role-players, new and old alike. Feel free to look around and ask any questions you'd like.
We ask that you come with us now on this journey into Snakespeare, a small suburb of NYC, where werewolves have found a cozy place to form their packs under the leadership of Alex King. A group called Demolishers seek to destroy these creatures before they can spread, but it is proving to be a difficult challenge. However, both sides fight for two common purposes: dominance and secrecy. Which side will you join? The fate of Snakespeare and New York is in your hands.

Insert any news blurbs here! It scrolls as you will see if I were to keep typing for a few lines here. But I'm getting bored, so I won't. But anyway, new skin is up, revamp in progress. Keep an eye out for changes!
CURRENT
Month: June 2009 Weather: The weather surrounding Snakespeare and NYC has been fairly nice. While rainstorms hit the area around the beginning of the month, the sun has been shining brightly, bringing with it moderate heat.
